Rumspringe

Definition:

Rumspringe is a German word used by the Amish. Literally translated it is “Bounce Around.” It refers to the time when the Amish gets as a teenager to see if they want to live in the outside world. They are often very promiscuous and experiment with drugs. The Amish never know if their young women will return at the end of rumspringe.
