Rose-Colored Beer Goggles

Definition:

A distortion that arrives in the early part of dating. Dating involves social drinking, hence the beer goggles. Intimacy leads to rose-colored glasses. When the two happen at the same time, you have rose-colored beer goggles. You will find out later how toxic this combination was - usually after a big fight or break up.

Exemplification of usage:

Me: I can’t even believe I didn’t see it sooner! All the red flags were there. All of them!

Her: You were wearing your rose-colored beer goggles. Don’t beat yourself up!
