Glass Shattering Moment

Definition:

Inspired by “How I Met Your Mother”, it is a moment where – once you realize something about a person – you can’t ever go back to how you perceived them before.

Exemplification of usage:

Him: I can’t even believe marijuana is legal in Colorado! Kids are dying from accidentally ingesting marijuana enhanced candy bars! Me (A glass shattering moment has occurred. The sound is disturbingly clear in my head!) Also Me: (Silently thinking) Don’t get me wrong, I’m not 420 friendly, but kids are definitely not dying from marijuana candy bars. What has he said before, that I took at face value and believed, even repeated that was decidedly wrong. (Who can possibly believe this propaganda?)
