Dystopian Reality
Definition:
The realization that the dystopian novels of the past, like George Orwell’s 1984, have come true. They are no longer set in the future. You are living them in real time, hence Dystopian Reality.
Exemplification of usage:
Me: "Please stop littering! Haven’t you seen the movie WALL - E? We’re not supposed to be living in a dystopian reality!"
